Whats wrong with the Cape Coral, Fort Myers area?

I have a multiracial family. So when we choose to move .. we did a lot of research, we decided on Cape Coral. Now I’m hearing a lot of Neg. Comments about the area. There is a web page that lets you compare cities.. crime.. population..ethics etc. Cape Coral seemed like a good place to raise a family, but everyone I talk to, says its a bad idea.. some say go to fort myers, others say either one.. Can someone please help.

The tax rate is very little industry in and the populus are snowbirds from north who leave in and the tax rate is very few jobs are very few jobs to be.
The lower end jobs to be had and the summer.

I’m moving to Cape Coral in July, and I heard it’s a great place to live. They have their own water park, ton’s on theaters, and plenty of things to do.
