Has anyone lived in Cape Coral or Ft. Myers Florida?

I just graduated college and am thinking about moving out to Florida. Nebraska is getting pretty boring and the weather *****. Houses and apartments are the same price in Nebraska so I figured it would be a nice change.
What is it like living out there? Are people outgoing? I’m a pretty socially active person so wanted to make sure it an ok place to live. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I don’t live there, but I have friends who do. Cape Coral is a big town with lots and lots of 3 BR 2 Bath ranch homes. They are friendly people and there is a beach in Fort Myers, but there’s really nothing to do in Cape Coral. Fort Myers has seasonal activities. If you are looking for more of a social life, check out Tampa to the north.
